Carlisle United winger Simon Hackney has signed a contract extension that binds him to Brunton Park until 2010.
The 23-year-old, who has been at the club for two-and-a-half years and made 66 appearances, has revealed his pleasure at the deal.
Speaking on the club's official website he said: "I'm delighted, I really am, because I love the place. I feel like it's a club that is really going places, and it's great to be a part of that."
United's caretaker manager Greg Abbot has also revealed his delight. "I'm really pleased that we've sorted this one. He's a vital member of the squad with what he brings into the mix."
