Grimsby midfielder Nick Hegarty has joined York on a one-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old made 19 appearances for The Mariners last season but has so far failed to force his way into the side this term.
Alan Buckley has now allowed him to go out to get some regular first-team football under his belt.
But the Grimsby boss insists Hegarty is still very much part of his plans for the future.
"It's just for one month," said Buckley.
"Nick was in the team when I joined the club last November.
"I've been quite impressed with him. He's got a lovely left foot."
