Spanish titans target Blues ace

Real Madrid are hoping to cash in on the uncertainty at Chelsea by luring Didier Drogba away from Stamford Bridge. Reports suggest Drogba is considering his future at Chelsea following the departure of Jose Mourinho earlier this week. The Ivory Coast international admits he has been hurt by Mourinho's sensational exit and the news has alerted Real.

Target

"He (Drogba) is an important target and we've been after him for some time," Bernd Schuster is quoted as saying in the Sunday Mirror. Schuster also revealed he is keeping tabs on Drogba's team-mate Michael Ballack. Real were linked with a move for the German international over the summer, but Schuster admits his injury problems have put any move on hold. "I already said in the summer that I wanted Ballack to come to Madrid," continued Schuster. "The problem is that he's injured and there's no indication of when it will clear up. The lad isn't playing so the situation is on hold." Meanwhile, Drogba has admitted he is still coming to terms with life after Mourinho and admitted he cried when he heard of the Portuguese tactician's exit.
Cried
"I have no problems in saying that I cried when I heard the news," Drogba told the Daily Star on Sunday. "I owe him practically everything. I felt a pain like that of losing a father. "I cried and I've cried again since. I and my team-mates love Chelsea. We want the club to stay big but I cannot speak about the future."
