Spanish giants expect European comeback

Barcelona expect Ronaldinho to be fit in time for their next UEFA Champions League match. The Brazilian ace has been criticised for his recent form and his Camp Nou future has been the subject of intense speculation after he was substituted in his last three Barca outings. Barca host Real Zaragoza on Wednesday before visiting Levante on Saturday and Ronaldinho, who pulled out of the squad which defeated Sevilla 2-1 at the weekend with a muscle injury, is expected to miss both encounters. However, club president Joan Laporta believes Ronaldinho will be back for the European meeting with Stuttgart on 2nd October and that the 27-year-old deserves the support of the Barcelona faithful. "He is suffering because he is injured," Laporta told radio station Cadena Ser. "He's completing a recovery plan and he probably won't make the Zaragoza or Levante games, but he has told me he will play against Stuttgart. "He brought hope back to Barcelona and we have to thank him for that and stand by him because I am sure he will return to give us more afternoons of success."
