Midfielder rejoins former club on three-month loan
Accrington Stanley have re-signed Ian Craney on a three-month loan deal from Swansea City.
The midfielder left Accrington for Swansea in a £150,000 transfer in January, following a loan spell in South Wales, but has struggled for first-team opportunities under Roberto Martinez.
Craney has made just one substitute appearance in League One this season and feels he will benefit from returning to Accrington.
"I could have gone to another League One club on loan, but as it's only for three months, I felt it was better for me to go somewhere I know and where I have enjoyed my football in the past," Craney told the club's official website.
"It feels the right thing to do, but I also want to make it clear that I still see my future at Swansea City.
"At the moment I'm not playing first-team football because the team is doing well, so I've got no complaints. But I don't think playing reserve-team football will help me.
"I aim to return from Accrington fresh and raring to go again."
