Arsenal midfielder doubt for Germany clash
Arsenal's Tomas Rosicky has been included in the Czech Republic squad for the crunch Euro 2008 qualifier against Germany later this month.
Boss Karel Bruckner has named the midfielder in an improvised squad for the 17th October clash despite doubts surrounding his availability after picking up a hamstring injury playing for the Gunners.
Bruckner is already without Milan defender Marek Jankulovski, Lyon striker Milan Baros and Anderlecht midfielder Jan Polak for the Berlin clash through suspension, while Juventus defender Zdenek Grygera and Spartak Moscow's Martin Jiranek are both injured.
Improvise
"This time we will be obliged to improvise a lot," explained Bruckner.
He has called up defender Jan Simunek for the first time. The Wolfsburg man was a star of the Czech Under 20s' World Cup campaign in the summer.
Czech Republic will play a warm-up game against first division side FK Teplice on 11th October before spending a few days at an Austrian training camp.
Germany currently head Group D by two points from the second-placed Czechs.
