Trio set to hand Moyes injury boost
Everton are set for a triple injury boost with Tim Cahill, Thomas Gravesen and James Vaughan all closing in on a return to action.
The trio are back in light training and are making progress on their road to recovery.
Cahill has not featured this season because of a foot injury he picked up in pre-season, but he is pushing for a return in the Merseyside derby on 20th October.
Gravesen is aiming to return in time for the clash with Liverpool after shaking off a knee problem.
Vaughan is unlikely to be fit to face Liverpool as he continues his recovery from a shoulder injury.
Everton physio Mick Rathbone confirmed the trio were close to returning to action.
Training
"Tim is doing really well. He is doing nearly everything in training and going very well but he will see the consultant again this week," Rathbone told the club's official website
"James is doing well and has joined in with a little bit of football. He has been out for a long time but objectively, the consultant is very, very pleased and he is making fantastic progress too.
"Tommy is doing ever so well. He has done some running and football work and will hopefully be back sooner rather than later."
Operation
Meanwhile, Andy Johnson has underwent a successful groin operation and should be back in action next month.
"The operation went great. Andy had a groin strain for two or three weeks," added Rathbone.
"We thought it would be three weeks complete rest but he also had this ankle problem that has come on over a period of years so the two things tied in quite well."
