Iraq international Hawar Mulla Mohammed is set to join Arminia Bielefeld in January transfer window.

The 25 year-old, who was one of Iraq's outstanding players during their successful Asian Cup campaign in July, is keen to leave Cypriot outfit Apollon to further his career.

According to AFC's official website, the midfielder has had a verbal agreement with the Bundesliga side and will leave for Germany come the New Year.

"I have reached a deal with Apollon and they will allow me to move to another club," Mohammed said.

"I will sign with Arminia Bielefeld after Iraq's first leg match of the Fifa World Cup qualifier against Pakistan (on October 22)."
