Skipper hoping for trophy

William Gallas says he is has fallen back in love with football due to Arsenal's current squad of bright young things. Arsene Wenger's crop of starlets are lighting up the Premier League and Europe with glittering football. Gallas, who has missed the last two months of the season due to a groin problem, is now fit and ready to face Slavia Prague on Tuesday and he cannot wait.

Shocked

"When I was on the bench or in the stands I was really surprised how we played," Gallas said. "I was so happy for them when they won. I was like a fan. "When they had some chances to score I stood up and shouted. I was like a kid again. "This team is playing better football than any other I have played in. It is different to Chelsea. It is not the same style. "I don't remember if I was in the stands at Chelsea. I think I celebrated in the stands when we played Barcelona. But Arsenal play with a certain style and Chelsea have their style."
Silverware
Despite their fine form, Gallas insists that the club need to bring home some silverware this season. "It is very important for us to win something this season," said Gallas. "It will not be easy for us because every team wants to beat Arsenal but we are ready to fight them. "When you start the season and start winning game by game, you believe in yourself and the squad. "Now all the young players know we can do something and they really want to win because if you don't win anything there is no point. "This season I don't know if we will win the Champions League or the Premier League but definitely we have to win something. "If we can win them both that would be good. "We play good football but I have said before you can play well and win nothing. Maybe we have to play not so good but we win. The more important is the victory."
