Stoke City have confirmed that Vincent Pericard has been released from prison.

Striker to return to training with Stoke

Stoke City have confirmed that Vincent Pericard has been released from prison. The striker was initially sentenced to four months in prison in August after being found guilty of perverting the course of justice. The charge came after Pericard was questioned about the driver of a car caught speeding near Plymouth. Pericard, who has also had spells with Juventus and Portsmouth, was then released early in September. However, he was re-arrested on 11th October following issues with the electronic tag he was wearing as a result of his early release. Pericard is expected to report for training with Stoke on Thursday and could feature in the Championship game against Bristol City on Saturday.
