Wise appoints new number two
Dave Bassett has been named as Leeds' new assistant manager following Gus Poyet's departure to Tottenham.
The vastly-experienced Bassett will work under Elland Road boss Dennis Wise on a contract which runs until the end of the season.
Bassett led Wimbledon to the Premier League and enjoyed further spells as manager of Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Barnsley and Leicester.
Wise and Bassett worked together at The Dons, The Foxes and Southampton and the Whites boss feels his new number two will bring invaluable experience to the club.
Foundations
He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted that 'Harry' has agreed to join Leeds United. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having been there, seen it and done it.
"We know each other well, having worked together before, and I'm looking forward to working with him again.
"We've had a good start to the season and Harry is keen to play his part in helping us move further forward, based on the foundations that we have already laid."
Leeds have also confirmed that they expect to make a further appointment to Wise's coaching staff in the next week.
