Sporting starlet eyes a move to a 'great club'
Sporting Lisbon starlet Miguel Veloso has admitted it would be a 'dream' to play for Manchester United.
The defending Premier League champions have been regularly linked with a £10million move for the 21-year-old Portuguese international midfielder.
Real Madrid have also been rumoured to be lining up a bid for Veloso, but United appear to have the edge.
If Veloso - who attracted the attention of United in the recent UEFA Champions League clash with Sporting - were to move to the Red Devils it could see him link-up with his compatriots Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani.
And Veloso, who has two caps for Portugal, has admitted a move to England could interest him.
Face a fight
"Of course," Veloso told a web chat on Uefa's official website when asked about a move to Old Trafford. "Manchester United are a great team.
"It is a dream for any player to play in great clubs. If there is a good offer to Sporting, it is up to them to decide. And to me too, of course."
However, United look set to face a fight if they are to lure Veloso away from Portugal with Sporting president Felipe Soares Franco insisting the club are not interested in negotiating.
"There is no chance the player will leave," Franco told The Sun.
"We are not interested in negotiating this subject because Miguel Veloso is one of our main players for this campaign."
