Keeper impressed by new Spurs coach

Paul Robinson admits new Tottenham Hotspur boss Juande Ramos has brought an 'air of confidence' to White Hart Lane. Ramos has replaced Martin Jol as Spurs manager and secured victory over Blackpool in the Carling Cup in his first match in charge. The Spaniard has made an immediate impact, according to first-choice keeper Robinson, who also revealed there has been no language barrier to overcome. "The communication has been excellent," Robinson told Sky Sports News.

Presence

"The manager has held meetings with the players in English and he's talked to the players in English. "He's brought an air of confidence with him. He's got a demeanour and a presence around the place, and I think the players have responded to that." Meanwhile, Ramos' assistant Gus Poyet was delighted to mark his return to White Hart Lane with a win over Blackpool.
Crazy
When asked for his feelings, Poyet replied: "Happiness, really. "When you come here after all of the last few days - it was quite crazy - it was important to start with a win. "It was also important to get a clean sheet. Okay, we know we have to keep working and to get better, but the key of everything was winning the game."
