Substitutes secure away win

VVV Venlo climbed off the bottom of the Eredivisie with a battling 2-1 win at Willem II Tilburg. The home side had taken an early lead, but goals from two substitutes inside the final 20 minutes earned VVV a second league win of the season. Willem II enjoyed a dream start to the match and were ahead after 10 minutes when Ibrahim Kargbo scored his third goal of the campaign. But VVV were level on 72 minutes when Adil Auassar, who was brought on just nine minutes earlier, scored his second goal since joining the club from Dordrecht. The winner arrived just seven minutes from time when first-half substitute Ekrim Kahya pounced for the visitors.
