Two goals from Rachel Williams helped Notts County Ladies to a 5-2 victory at Bristol Academy as the Lady Pies recorded their first league win of the season.
Aileen Whelan fired County into a 14th minute lead before turning provider for Williams to give the visitors a two-goal cushion.
And County were three up 10 minutes before the break when Fern Whelan headed in her first goal for her new club from ex-Everton team-mate Alex Greenwood’s free-kick.
Bristol pulled a goal back in the second half after Sophie Ingle took advantage of a defensive mix-up before adding a second when Loren Dykes crossed from the left for Nikki Watts to fire home.
But County got their fourth goal 13 minutes from time when Williams latched on to Greenwood’s long ball to notch her second of the game.
And the outcome was sealed in stoppage time when Greenwood added a fifth from the penalty spot.
The result is Bristol’s fourth consecutive loss and leaves them rooted to the bottom of FA Women’s Super League 1, without a single point this season.
