United ace expects changes for remaining games
Wayne Rooney expects Sir Alex Ferguson to make changes to his Manchester United side for their remaining UEFA Champions League group games. The Red Devils have already secured passage to the knock-out stage thanks to Wednesday's 4-0 win over Dynamo Kiev and Roma's late 2-2 draw at Sporting.
Rooney is delighted United have progressed and thinks Ferguson may opt to rest players in their remaining Group F games against Sporting and Roma.
"We're delighted we're through," he confirmed to Sky Sports 2.
"Maybe we can rest a few players in the next few games and make sure we're right for the knock-out stage."
Negative
Despite continuing his fine run of form with United's third in the game, Rooney did not enjoy Dynamo's spoiling tactics."It was difficult. They were negative and didn't want to play. It spoilt the game," he continued.
"I didn't really enjoy playing in the game tonight. I think we were just getting frustrated as a team and bored.
"I think at times we played some good football, but we're delighted with the 4-0.
"We've played some good football over the last few months. We just need keep doing that and keep ourselves at the top of the league."
