New Wrexham boss looking forward to task

Brian Little is delighted to be back in football management after he was appointed the new manager of Wrexham. The Dragons confirmed Little's appointment on Thursday as successor to Brian Carey, who will stay on as assistant manager. "I have been watching football week in week out, continuing my education in a different capacity but I am delighted to be back in the management team," he told Sky Sports News. "It is a great challenge, a big challenge and I have had a few in my time and I am looking forward to this one and should I help Wrexham I think I can take them on. "The club has the capacity to go on and upwards but initially the thing is to retain league status. "I don't want to look back as I think the most important thing is to start now, I am not here to be critical - the team are in a difficult position but I think there is enough here to turn this around."
Partnership
Little insists he is happy to work with former boss Carey. "I know Brian Carey very well he played for me at Leicester City, I bought him from Manchester United and I want him to work with me and he has agreed to do that," he added. "Potentially this is a club that can move up the divisions but we have to achieve our short-term aim first."
