Emre has backed fellow countryman Tuncay Sanli to make a success of his move to Middlesbrough.
Tuncay arrived on Teesside in the summer on a free transfer from Fenerbahce with a big reputation.
However, things have not gone as expected for the Turkish ace with injury and lack of form meaning his start to life in England has not gone according to plan.
But Tuncay's close friend Emre - who plays for Boro's North East rivals Newcastle - is confident he will come good and open his goal-scoring account.

"Tuncay is a very talented player," said Emre.
"When he played for Fenerbahce, he scored a lot of goals.
"I believe in him, he is a very good guy and a very good professional.
"I can understand how much he wants to score. He needs to score one or two and then he will keep on scoring. I'm sure they will come.
"Tuncay wants to succeed at Middlesbrough. He is determined to make a success of it, and I'm sure the fans will like his style and his determination.
"When he scores, I'm sure people will see the real Tuncay."
Time
Emre, who has been in England for over two years, feels Tuncay just needs time to settle.
"Everything here is different for him," said Emre.
"The stadium, the food, the style of play is different.
"It is going to be difficult for Tuncay in his first season. I remember that even Zinedine Zidane played badly in his first year in Italy.
"The Premier League is difficult and Emre needs to get used to that. The more he plays, the better he will get.
"I'd already played five years in Italy when I moved to Newcastle, so coming here was easier for me. English football is of a similar quality to Italy or Spain. Tuncay has come straight here from Turkey, and that's difficult."
Meanwhile, Boro have confirmed that former fans favorite Stephen Pears will succeed Paul Barron as their first-team goalkeeping coach.
Barron has departed for rivals Newcastle, so boss Gareth Southgate has promoted Boro legend Pears - who was academy coach.
