Defender heads back to Australia
Allan Picken has left Walsall by mutual consent and is set to return to Australia.
The defender has managed just two appearances for the Saddlers since joining the club in July 2006 because of injury.
And both parties have now agreed that it would be in Picken's best interests if he left the club to head back to his homeland.
Walsall boss Richard Money told the club's official website: "Allan's injury has been a blow for both him and the club.
"With his contract expiring at the end of the season, we felt it was in the best interests of both the player and the club to return home to continue his recovery.
"We wish Allan all the very best for the future."
