Turin giants show interest in Czech striker

Juventus are the latest big-name team to be linked with a move for Czech striker Martin Fenin. Fenin's agent Pavel Zika has confirmed the interest of the Turin giants in the 20-year-old striker, who reportedly want to sign him in the January transfer window in order to prevent competing with other suitors after the Euro 2008 finals when his transfer value might rise. Fenin, who has won three caps with this senior national team, plays for FK Teplice and is the Czech top flight's top scorer, with seven goals already to his name this term. He is hot property among top European clubs and was close to moving to Werder Bremen and Barcelona over the summer, while Arsenal and Liverpool were among other teams to have reportedly shown an interest.

Talks

Speaking of the interest from Juventus, Fenin's agent Pavel Zika said the situation at present is in the "first negotiating steps" and he will travel to Turin at the end of November to have talks. He added: "There are three possible options which can happen in winter. "Either he will not move or he will move there but will remain in Teplice until the summer. Or he will be loaned from Juventus to another Serie A club."
