Cheltenham defender agrees loan switch
Darlington boss Dave Penney has bolstered his squad with the loan signing of Cheltenham defender Lee Ridley.
Ridley moves to the Darlington Arena on a one-month loan deal and is set to go straight into the squad to face Wycombe on Saturday.
Penney believes the 25-year-old will prove to be a vital squad member as the season enters a critical and busy stage.
Options
"Lee will be a valuable addition to the squad, particularly over the hectic Christmas period," Penney said.
"He'll be with us until the start of January and will give me extra options in defence."
Ridley moved to Whaddon Road from Scunthorpe in the summer and has been assured he still has a future with the League One club.
Limited opportunities
Cheltenham boss Keith Downing told his club's official website: "This move will give Lee the chance to play some first-team football.
"Lee has not come here to play in the reserves but he missed a few games through injury and around that time we signed Alan Wright, who has made quite an impact.
"Since Alan arrived there have been limited opportunities for Lee so this move will hopefully keep him match fit and help Darlington out as well."
