Swansea striker Oliver McBurnie has had his loan spell at Newport County cut short by his parent club.
The teenager made an instant impact at Newport when he scored a hat-trick in the League Two victory over Luton at Rodney Parade.
McBurnie, who also played in the 4-3 defeat to Notts County and the 2-2 draw with AFC Wimbledon, was due to return to the Liberty Stadium on January 2.
"Swansea City have recalled striker Oliver McBurnie from his loan spell at Newport County," a statement on the Swansea website read.
"The 19-year-old scored three goals in as many games for the Exiles, marking his debut with a stunning hat-trick in a 3-0 win over Luton.
"McBurnie's loan was due to expire on January 2, but he has now returned to the Liberty Stadium."
McBurnie could now be in contention for a place in the Swansea squad for the Premier League game against West Brom on Boxing Day.
