Toffees stopper suffers calf injury
Everton defender Alan Stubbs has been ruled out for a month due to a calf injury.
The veteran centre-half has missed his club's last three games and now faces a further four weeks on the sidelines.
Stubbs picked up the problem in training and is unlikely to be back in David Moyes' plans until the festive period.
The 36-year-old has made eight appearances in the Premier League this season, but also has one eye on the future.
He took charge of Everton's reserve-team game against Wigan on Wednesday evening and enjoyed the experience.
"I have enjoyed it," Stubbs told the club's official website. "It is interesting and it is obviously something I want to get into eventually - when that will be I don't really know.
"Obviously my main priority is still to be playing.
"It was a little bit nerve-racking, but I think I have enough respect from the lads to know what it is all about."
