Stuttgart's Fernando Meira says he knows nothing about the reported interest from Portsmouth.
Speculation is mounting that Harry Redknapp is preparing to make a move for the Portuguese defender in the January transfer window.
Scouts from England and Greece have reportedly watched Meira in action for the Bundesliga champions.
Not spoken
"All I know is what I have read in the papers. I have not spoken to the English club," the 29-year-old told
skysports.com.
Stuttgart have also confirmed they have not received any approach for the defender.
"We have received no formal offer for Meira. At this moment this is only a rumour," said a club spokesman.
