Chesterfield striker Jack Lester is hoping to be involved against local rivals Rotherham.
The former Nottingham Forest striker was taken to hospital following a tackle from MK Dons defender Danny Swailes in the Spireites' recent 2-1 win at the league leaders.
However, scans revealed no break or serious ligament damage in Lester's calf and ankle and he has returned to training and has an outside chance of featuring.
Veteran Steve Fletcher will partner Jamie Ward if Lester cannot be called, while captain Aaron Downes and Phil Picken are both available after suspension.
