Stuttgart captain happy to stay in Germany
Stuttgart captain Fernando Meira says he would not be interested in a move to Portsmouth.
The Portuguese defender recently played down reports linking him with a switch to Harry Redknapp's side.
And he has now confirmed that should an offer come in - either in January or the summer - he would turn it down.
"At the moment I don't even want to think about such things," Meira told
Kicker.
"My thoughts are with VfB. I want to do everything in my power to help us become a top team again.
Turnaround
"A winter move, or even a summer one, wouldn't make any sense."
Meira, who captained Stuttgart to the Bundesliga title last term, has seen his team struggle for consistency this season.
Improved recent form, however, has lifted morale in the squad and Meira says the team still have plenty to aim for before the winter break.
"We want six points in the league and to put in a good performance against Barcelona. Every player has got the chance there to show what he can do against a fantastic team," he concluded.
