Striker hails supporters' tolerance
Dimitar Berbatov has thanked Tottenham Hotspur fans for helping the team cope with their poor start to the season.
Tottenham began the 2007/2008 campaign in wretched fashion but now appear to be slowly turning the tide.
And the Bulgarian international insists the Spurs supporters have been integral in maintaining the players' belief.
"It's a pleasure and an honour to play for Tottenham and I enjoy myself here," he said in the
Daily Star.
"We are having a difficult time at the moment, not every day can be a good day but we must stay strong.
Passion
"I love everyone who loves Tottenham and I see the passion of our fans.
"It doesn't matter if we are winning or losing, they are still behind us and that is what I appreciate.
"We are not in a good position in the table. We know we should not be there and it is frustrating.
"I know we have a brilliant squad, with so much ability and class throughout.
"We are working hard to put things right and with the new boss I'm confident we are on the right track again."
