Each week, Sky Sports experts review the Football League action on FL72. Check out Peter Beagrie's thoughts on the latest round of fixtures...
Fantastic start for Freedman at Forest
BEAGRIE SAYS: It's been a brilliant start for Freedman with two wins on the spin and importantly a performance at home that got the three points. All the players that started the season so well were there again for everyone to see. I don’t know what Dougie has done but it has been inspirational because they are playing without fear, playing expansively and it was a terrific result and resounding victory. It was only tainted by the injury to Britt Assombalonga, he would be a massive loss for them.
Baffling week at Brentford
BEAGRIE SAYS: I can’t understand why that has come out, what has happened to the old days of keeping everything in house? Their explanation was it's a forward thinking club trying to cover every base as Mark Warbuton is turning heads because of the job he has done. So why not give him a new contract then rather than say we will get another manager? Jonathan Douglas was the first one to jump on Mark Warbuton after they scored and the all the players joined in, they must be thinking ‘what are you trying to do?’ We are performing absolute miracles on the pitch, why do that?
Wolves have plenty of bite in attack
BEAGRIE SAYS: It's the first time Wolves have scored four this season and the options they have going forward are brilliant. They have Rajiv Van La Parra and Bakary Sako as the providers while Nouha Dicko loves to run in behind and having Benik Afobe gives him more space and freshness as he doesn’t have to do the work of two players. It’s a formidable partnership if they stick with that. They have the ability to get into the play-offs but it’s all about how they defend. Going forward they have the talent and can ask questions of any defence. It's been a tough job for Kenny but they are heading in the right direction.
Neil impressing at Norwich
BEAGRIE SAYS: Alex Neil has certainly made an impression. What impressed me was when they had their worst display he came out, was very vocal and said that’s not good enough and this is not what I expect from this group of players. At times in games he has made important changes and he is getting the best out of Cameron Jerome. He suffers fools very lightly and it’s a good match I think.
Budget costs Danny Wilson
BEAGRIE SAYS: That was their fourth away defeat in a row and was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Barnsley are a top-five budget club in that division and that’s what the board are looking at, value for money for where they are. Sam Winnall has been out and they have also lost Devante Cole, which hasn't helped, but I don’t think the budget helped Danny. They are in 17th which is not good enough, they need a catalyst. They might have been feeling the pressure because results weren’t going their way, they will want to do it for Danny.
Southend asking questions
BEAGRIE SAYS: They are fourth now, asking all the questions and answering them. They have some very good players. Midfield area is where they were strong and were just lacking goals up front but Joe Pigott, on loan from Charlton, has four in six. For a young lad he has a physical presence, is a hard worker, has pace so he can play on the last shoulder in behind and we have seen what an aerial threat he is and in that division you get the ball in the box as quick as you can.
