Hull v Blackburn preview: Tigers boss Steve Bruce ready to ring changes for Blackburn clash
Saturday 26 September 2015 15:25, UK
Hull are expected to ring the changes again for the visit of Blackburn, despite seeing off Premier League Swansea in the Capital One Cup.
Manager Steve Bruce made nine alterations for the 1-0 win on Tuesday and is likely to restore most of his first-choice players on Saturday.
Jake Livermore managed 69 minutes in his first appearance since May following a positive cocaine test and will continue building his fitness.
Alex Bruce has a minor groin problem and deadline-day signing Adama Diomande is still around six weeks away from a debut.
Tommy Spurr is ready to return for Blackburn at the KC Stadium.
The full-back suffered a concussion in the draw with QPR and was forced to miss the win over Charlton as a result, but he has been back in training all week.
Midfielder Chris Taylor played 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday and is line to play for the reserves on Monday as part of his comeback from a groin strain.
The other two players who remain missing for boss Gary Bowyer are Jason Lowe (foot) and Chris Brown (knee).
Hull v Blackburn odds
Hull are the 11/10 favourites with Sky Bet for victory at home to Blackburn on Saturday afternoon. Rovers are outsiders for three points at the KC Stadium at 13/5 and the draw is priced up at 9/4.
Hull beat Swansea 1-0 in the Capital One Cup in midweek and a repeat of that scoreline can be backed 5/1. Blackburn won 3-0 at home to Charlton last weekend with Jordan Rhodes netting a double.
Rhodes can be backed at 14/1 to net another brace and he's the 6/1 second-favourites in the first goalscorer betting behind Tigers forward Abel Hernandez.
