Mansfield Town manager Billy Dearden has warned Danny Reet to shape up or he could find himself out of the game.
The Stags boss recently extended the 20-year-old's loan spell at Alfreton until the end of the season after being unhappy at his fitness levels.
Dearden believes his player has ability, but fears unless he knuckles down then Reet could end up with a career outside football.
"He knows my feelings for him," Dearden told the club's official website.
"Danny knows he must do something about his weight.
"If he doesn't do anything about it then he will struggle to make a living in the game. It's annoying as he has so much ability."
