Thierry's D-Jay

DJ Norman Jay, Spurs fan, told Soccer AM about performing at the 'heart of the evil empire'.

What do you do if you are the Tottenham fan asked to DJ at the Arsenal captain's wedding? Ruin it by playing 'Glory, Glory Tottenham Hotspur' for the first dance? Mix in a bit of Chas 'n' Dave or just pull the plug half way through? Not if you are Norman Jay MBE. You don't get to be the only top DJ on God's green earth to receive a gong from her majesty by being anything but an absolute professional. But, as Norman told Soccer AM this week, you can still show your colours quietly, even if you are at the 'heart of the evil empire'. Here's how Norman described being the MC and DJ at Thierry Henry's wedding... "It was fantastic to be able to go right to the heart of the evil empire. "Because it was a pretty formal event and, mostly French people there, quite civilised and very French, they were serving breakfast on the dance floor at 1am after a long day. "I was deejaying, I had to be formally attired because I was doing a bit of compering as well, and in my lapel I had a gold cockerill, a tiny little golder cockerill pin badge. "Patrick Vieira came over and asked questions. He was actually quite a laugh, because I thought most of them were quite stush, but Vieira was a laugh. "He pointed at this thing and said, 'what's that you're wearing?'. I nearly took his eye out and when I pushed it at his eye. "He saw the joke and he was fantastic."
