Milan coach refuses to blame Brazilian keeper
Carlo Ancelotti has backed his goalkeeper Nelson Dida despite his costly mistake during the Milan derby.
The Milan coach saw the Brazilian's error allow Esteban Cambiasso to grab what proved to be the winner for Internazionale in a 2-1 victory on Sunday.
The defeat means that Milan now sit 12th in Serie A and a massive 25 points behind their league-leading city rivals.
Ancelotti though accepts that goalkeepers will make mistakes from time to time and maintains that he still has complete faith in Dida's ability.
Grateful
"It isn't Dida's first mistake and it won't be the last one," he said.
"Anyway, I have complete faith in Nelson. I'm grateful for what he has done in the past, and I have shown that by continuing to play him.
"Esteban Cambiasso's shot was easy to stop, but he evaluated the trajectory in a bad way and got his dive wrong.
"We are sorry, but there is nothing else to add on the matter."
