Matthew Blinkhorn and Jon Newby were both on target in a blustery game at a Christie Park After dominating early on, the home side took the lead on 10 minutes when Matthew Blinkhorn fired home from inside the area. Morecambe then went close to making it doubling their advantage as Stuart Drummond's strike cannoned back off the post. Bury pushed for an equaliser and Glynn Hurst did strike the woodwork, but Newby wrapped up Morecambe's victory.
