Scott McGleish scored a hat-trick as Wycombe Wanderers destroyed Mansfield 4-0 at Field Mill.
The Stags were on a high following their weekend FA Cup success at Brighton, but have now been brought back down the earth.
The visitors forged ahead after just five minutes when McGleish's looping header left Carl Muggleton with no chance of a save.
Mansfield only trailed by one goal at half-time, although Wycombe pressed home their advantage after the interval.
Wanderers doubled their advantage just before the hour mark when Gareth Jelleyman helped the ball into his own net from McGleish's shot.
McGleish did add his second with a left-footed strike on 70 minutes and he did not have to wait long to complete his hat-trick just three minutes later when he turned home Sergio Torres' cutback.
