Championship clubs eye loan deal

Skysports.com understands that a number of clubs will be watching Rangers midfielder Alan Gow in Sunday's Scottish Cup clash with East Stirling. The 25-year-old midfielder is expected to be handed a rare start at Ibrox as manager Walter Smith looks to give a number of his fringe players a chance to impress. Smith has previously hinted that he is be prepared to allow some of his squad leave on loan in the January transfer window. And a number of English Championship clubs are thought to be interested in Gow after missing out on the former Falkirk star when he joined Rangers last summer. Gow has struggled to make an impact with Rangers and has made only one appearance for Smith's side when he played against East Fife in the League Cup in September 2007.
