O'Donnell's nephew pays tribute to fans
Phil O'Donnell's nephew David Clarkson has thanked Motherwell's fans for their support following the death of the Fir Park skipper.
Motherwell played their first game since O'Donnell's death in December, and dug in to earn a Scottish Cup replay against Hearts.
A brace from Chris Porter saw Mark McGhee's men come from behind to draw 2-2, and Clarkson has paid tribute to the Well fans for their support during a difficult time.
Appreciation
"I can't put into words how hard it has been. It was our way of saying thanks to everyone," he told the
Sunday Mail.
"The fans have been great and the media have been really helpful.
"And everyone associated with the club just wanted just wanted to show their appreciation.
"The game and the performance were so important. It was the best way to show we're still thinking about it."
