New Milan signing praises compatriot
New Milan signing Alexandre Pato insists he still has a long way to go before reaching the 'phenomenon' level of his Brazilian compatriot Ronaldo.
Pato joined Milan in the summer from Brazilain club Internacional, but due to Serie A regulations regarding non-members of the European Union he was eligible to play before the transfer window after his 18th Birthday.
However, having turned 18 in September, the striker earned rave reviews when scoring on his debut in Milan's 5-2 victory over Napoli on Sunday.
Pato, though, insists he has a lot to do before he can equal the standards of Ronaldo and is remaining cautious before predicting how he will adapt to life in Serie A.
"The phenomenon is Ronaldo," Pato told the Italian media. "I told him when I scored. I told him, 'Ronnie you are a phenomenon'.
"I've scored because this is a good team and we played a good match," Pato added.
"I don't know how many I will score. I'll tell you another time."
