United defender eyes Capello's first England squad
Manchester United's Wes Brown is eyeing a call-up to Fabio Capello's first England squad.
Brown has enjoyed an impressive start to the 2007/08 campaign, starting all but three of United's Premier League games.
The 28-year-old right-back won the last of his 14 caps for England in the friendly win over Austria last November.
And with Capello soon to name his squad for the game against Switzerland on 6th February, Brown is hoping to impress the Italian.
Hopeful
"Hopefully that's the case [that I am involved]," Brown told
Manchester United Radio.
"If I can stay in the United team and continue to play well then hopefully I can get an England call-up."
Brown is out of contract at the end of the season, and his future at Old Trafford remains in doubt after he turned down the champions' final offer of an extension.
