Blackburn Rovers are thought to be preparing a bid for South African midfielder Lance Davids.
The 22-year-old, who has got one year left on his contract at Swedish outfit Djurgardens, impressed during a trial at Ewood Park.
The player - who has previously been linked with Newcastle - is rated at £500,000 in the market.
Speaking of the situation, agent Rob Moore told Fotbolldirekt.com: "Lance did well at Blackburn. Manager Mark Hughes was very pleased with him."
But the agent confirmed that Rovers face competition to sign the midfielder.
"A club from the Bundesliga and a top club from Belgium are interested," he added.
