Wrexham sign defender as they battle against the drop
The league's bottom team Wrexham have signed defender Carl Tremarco for an undisclosed fee from Tranmere.
The 22-year-old's move comes as the Dragons attempt to bolster a defence which has leaked 39 goals in the league this term.
The player leaves with the blessing of Tranmere after he made more than 50 first-team appearances but has been limited to mostly substitute appearances this term.
Rovers manager Ronnie Moore said: "Carl is at a stage in his career where he needs to play regular first-team football.
"Unfortunately we can't guarantee him that at Tranmere and this transfer to Wrexham gives him that opportunity."
Departure
Meanwhile, the club have confirmed that Ryan Valentine has left the club.
The full-back has fixed himself up straightaway as he has re-joined former club Darlington.
