Internazionale president Massimo Moratti has refuted suggestions that the club are trailing Ronaldinho.
Adriano Galliani, chief executive of city rivals Milan, claimed that he had been told of Inter's interest in the player by Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
"It's true that Inter are in talks with Barcelona in regards to Ronaldinho," Galliani told
Sky Italia.
"I know this because I have been in direct contact with Laporta."
Not interested
The Brazilian forward does look set to leave the Camp Nou in the near future after falling out of favour with Frank Rijkaard and has been linked with both Milan sides, as well as Premier League Chelsea, but Moratti has moved quickly to deny that his side are in the market for the player despite the claims to the contrary.
"Galliani maybe knows more than I do, but it's not true" he said.
"Maybe Barcelona are offering him around but I know nothing about that.
"I don't know who has spoken to him (Galliani), but at this time the information he has is not correct.
"We will always be interested in good players, but at the moment we do not need to make that kind of investment as the squad is already in very good shape."
