Japanese star ready to fire in title race
Celtic star Shunsuke Nakamura insists he is feeling refreshed for the second half of the season.
Nakamura has only recently returned to action after over two months out with a knee injury.
The classy playmaker is relieved to have recovered to full fitness and he has set his sights on helping Celtic overtake Rangers in the race for the SPL title.
"It feels good to be back because no player likes to be injured," Nakamura told the
Daily Record.
"I had a serious thigh injury when I was playing in Japan and they put me in hospital. That meant I was away from football completely.
"This time, I had to hang around Lennoxtown getting treatment and being forced to watch the other guys training. That was extremely frustrating and it's a relief to be back playing.
Refreshed
"Once I got over the disappointment of not playing I realised this was my time to step off the treadmill and get away from competitive football. Now I feel refreshed and ready to go for the remainder of the season.
"It's a good time to return with so many important games coming up. I can only improve my fitness by playing more matches.
"Rather than look at how many points Rangers have, we must concentrate on what Celtic are doing and nothing else. There are a lot of games still to be played and much can still happen."
