Hamburg midfielder 'honoured' by Juve interest

Unsettled Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has admitted that he feels 'honoured' by the interest of Juventus. Claudio Ranieri is thought to be lining up a bid for Van der Vaart, who is valued at £15milllion, as he attempts to reinforce his midfield. The Juventus boss is also expected to complete a move for Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko as he attempts to maintain the pace with Roma and Internazionale at the top of Serie A. Hamburg have said they are yet to receive contact from Juventus, but Van der Vaart is understood to be keen on a move away from the Bundesliga. And the 24-year-old Dutchman, who has made 50 appearances for his country, has indicated that he is keen on a move to Italy. "I don't know when things will get going," Van der Vaart, who is under contract at the Nordbank Arena until 2010, told Bild. "I feel very honoured. It is great to have a club like Juventus after you, that gives you a good feeling."
