Clarets hoping to dispose of Iron
Burnley desperately need their home form to improve if they are make the play-offs and will be hoping for a change in fortunes when they face struggling Scunthorpe on Saturday.
The Clarets can close to within a point of the top six with victory, but they have won just three out of 14 games at Turf Moor this season.
However, Owen Coyle's men have won their last two games to end a run which saw them go six games without success prior to that.
Victory for Scunthorpe would put them just a point away from climbing out of the relegation zone, but they struggle on the road having won just three times away from Glanford Park this term.
They have also only managed to score 10 goals on their travels this campaign and have the worst goal difference in the division.
Caldwell back
After the departure of Andy Gray to Charlton, Owen Coyle is likely to stick with Ade Akinbiyi and Robbie Blake in attack.
Fellow striker Kyle Lafferty misses out as he serves the third game of a four-match ban following his dismissal against Arsenal in the FA Cup.
Defender Clarke Carlisle remains doubtful with a hamstring strain but Steve Caldwell returns having served a one-game suspension.
Hobbs could feature
Liverpool defender Jack Hobbs has joined Scunthorpe on loan for the rest of the season and is expected to go straight into the squad for Saturday's game.
Shelton Martis will make his last appearance for the club before returning to West Brom while Cliff Byrne will miss out through suspension.
Andy Butler could replace Byrne at the back and recent signings Grant McCann and Ben May are both pushing for starting roles.
Midfielder Jim Goodwin is also in contention after recovering from a foot injury which had kept him out since the turn of the year.
