Striker plays down Arsenal interest

Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko is aware of Arsenal's interest but has no plans to leave the Bundesliga in the January transfer window. On Monday, Gunners first-team coach Boro Primorac revealed that the club are closely following the 21-year-old's progress. Speculation suggested that Arsenal could bid for the forward as Robin van Persie is currently sidelined through injury. But Dzeko insists a move in January would not interest him as he has yet to make a name for himself in Germany - since his move to Wolfsburg from FK Teplice last summer for an undisclosed fee. "I have heard something. My agent told me a week ago that Arsenal were tracking me," he told Sport.

Happy

"No [I will not be moving in January], certainly not. I am happy at Wolfsburg. I have been in the Bundesliga for just six months. And I want to show my best skills in Germany. "Only after that is the time right for Arsenal and other clubs. I am young and there is no need to rush. "It is just speculation. But Arsenal is a great team to play for, if you are a young player. "I have always dreamt of the Spanish league, but you never know what is going to happen."
