Former Leeds defender joins on free transfer

Morecambe have snapped up defender Henry McStay on a contract until the end of the season. McStay has recently been playing in Belgium with Royal Antwerp, having previously been at Leeds United and Halifax Town. He has passed a medical with the League Two club and the deal will go through subject to receiving international clearance. Shrimps boss Sammy McIlroy told the club's official website: "Henry has come highly recommended by Warren Joyce who is at Antwerp, the same club where we signed Damien Allen from. "We need to have cover in all positions in this squad and he will provide competition as well for players such as Adam Yates."
