Swansea's on-loan midfielder Tom Carroll out for up to six weeks

Swansea's on-loan midfielder Tom Carroll has been ruled out for four to six weeks with an ankle ligament injury.

Carroll, who is at the Liberty Stadium on a season-long loan from Tottenham, withdrew from the England U21 squad after scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory in the Czech Republic on Friday.

Carroll captained Gareth Southgate's side in Prague before suffering the injury and being forced off early in the second half.

He subsequently missed Monday's 3-2 victory over Germany at the Riverside Stadium.
