Defender follows Fox to Ricoh Arena

Walsall defender Scott Dann has followed Daniel Fox in signing for Coventry City before the close of the transfer window. Fox left Walsall for the Ricoh Arena earlier this month and has been joined at the Championship strugglers by Dann. The centre-half has agreed a three-and-a-half year contract with the Sky Blues and joins for an undisclosed fee. Coventry boss Iain Dowie is confident that the 20-year-old can make an impact during the coming seasons.

Exciting addition

"Scott is an immensely bright talent with a promising career in front of him," Dowie told the club's official website. "He certainly has age on his side. "He has been a consistent performer for Walsall in both their promotion campaign last year as well as this season and there's no doubt in my mind that he will be a valuable and exciting addition to our squad. "He is comfortable on the ball, with an excellent range of passing and he has also chipped in with a few goals over the last couple of years. I am really looking forward to working with him."
