Barca youngster set to make history
Barcelona's Bojan Krkic has been included in the full Spain squad for their friendly against France, despite making just six starts in the Primera Division.
The forward is set to make history if he features in Malaga next Wednesday becoming the youngest player to ever represent Spain at 17 years and six months, eclipsing Angel Zubieta's record of 17 years and nine months which has stood for more than 70 years.
Other newcomers to the squad who could also make their debut next week are Mallorca's Fernando Navarro and Liverpool's Alvaro Arbeloa.
National team coach Luis Aragones has once again left Real Madrid's Raul out of the squad, despite the veteran striker's good form this season.
Krkic's club team-mate Carlos Puyol will also be missing against the French after suffering an injury in Barcelona's Spanish Cup tie with Villarreal in midweek.
Justifying his decision to include Krkic in the squad at such a young age, Aragones said: "I want to see him in action in a match at this level but he already has established himself in the U21 side and he is a very interesting player to keep tabs on."
