NAC Breda moved into fifth in the Eredivisie after a hard fought 1-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam. The only goal at the Sparta Stadion arrived just after the hour. The winner came from in-from Fouad Idabdelhay who fired home to grab his fourth goal in just four games. NAC were forced to hang on in the latter stages as Rogier Molhoek was sent off but Sparta could not find a leveller.
